︎ INFLATED STOOL

sheet metal, air hose connector

A material experimentation using sheet metal to create volumetric forms. Two sheets of metal are welded together along the seams, with an air hose connector welded on
the underside. It is then connected to an industrial air compressor and filled with compressed air. This process effectively transforms two flat pieces of welded sheet metal into a structurally sound volumetric form in a single action. The U-like cutout of the bench profile creates a void that allows room for the piece to “expand” and “deform”.
